In any type of conversation about Appalachia, there always comes the participant who knows more about Appalachian issues than someone who lives or has lived in the region. Or think they know in any case. With this project, I would like to refute this overreaching narrative that the Appalachian people can be so easily defined.

The richness of Appalachian history and culture cannot be understated. With such an insular culture with the intention of preserving tradition, Appalachia creates and inspires the curiosity of onlookers and outsiders.
